the tower has arrived

Photos of the Tuniq Tower 120, and some cooling performance…

Yes the Tuniq Tower 120 has arrived… and it is very obvious that this heatsink/fan was not made for the lightweighted, tiny footprint of the super lanboy. It literally touches the northbridge heatsink/fan and the power supply. I almost had to bend fins. only the smallest of hands can fit where you need to screw this thing in. I ended up having to remove many components just to see if it fits, including, the dvd drive, rear exhaust fan, and power supply… after almost 2 hours, i got it screwed in nice and tight. it barely clears the rear exhaust fan and side intake fan.

It barely fit and it was worth it. I recommend it to anyone, if you have a lanboy, i recommend buying a nine hundred or almost anything else besides the claustrophobic lanboy…. and then buy this. from stock speed idle temperatures using the zalman 9500 and arctic silver5 at 47c-51c core, to stock speed idle temperatures using this tuniq tower 12 and arctic silver5 at 37c-39c core.

3 heatpipes, 9 bladed fan, and a million blades for fins. Here are some photos for your ten degree jaw drop viewing pleasures…
